Catherynne Whitmore

Practice Area: Veterans Benefits

Catherynne earned her B.A. in English at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia, and got her juris doctor degree from the University of Missouri School of Law. During law school, she was a member of the Attorney General’s Moot Court Team, was published in the Missouri Environmental Law & Policy Review Journal, and traveled throughout Europe studying international arbitration. After law school, she worked on Capitol Hill, at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and as an Attorney-Advisor at the Social Security Administration.

Prior to joining Jackson & MacNichol, Casey worked as an Attorney-Advisor at the Board of Veterans Appeals drafting opinions for a Veterans Law Judge. Casey comes from a military family: her father is a Captain in the Navy JAG Reserves and her brother serves in the Army National Guard; several of her great uncles served in Vietnam, and her great-great uncle was one of the famed Tuskegee Airmen. This close connection makes her a passionate advocate for Veterans, ensuring they receive the benefits they deserve.
