While at Tulane Law School, she was a member of the Tulane Law Review, the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law, and the Tulane Criminal Law Clinic. She earned a Certificate of European Legal Practice, studied in France at the Tulane Institute of European Legal Studies, and interned at a Parisian law firm. Following law school, she was the Pro Se Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, where she reviewed all of the habeas corpus petitions and civil rights complaints filed by inmates who were convicted or housed in the district. She served as a federal law clerk for the Honorable F.A. Little, Jr., then Chief Judge of the Western District of Louisiana. While in Louisiana, she met her husband when he was a brand-new First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Over the next 20+ years, as a military spouse, Alice practiced in the areas of criminal defense, civil rights, personal injury, and securities litigation.
As the daughter of a Vietnam veteran who was exposed to Agent Orange, and the wife of a 100% disabled veteran, Alice is particularly sensitive to the needs of America’s military veterans. Over the years, and at nine duty stations, Alice spent numerous hours as a volunteer in military service organizations, as well as representing military members with legal issues.
In her free time, Alice enjoys spending time with her husband and her triplet daughters who are in high school. As a family they enjoy hiking, movies, game nights, and a new passion for travel that developed while on their final assignment at Ramstein AB in Germany. She currently serves on the Board of Maxwell-Gunter Spouses Club as the Parliamentarian and the Special Activities Chair and is a member of the Junior League of Montgomery, AL.
