Ms. Tamara N. Gallagher graduated from Georgetown University, where she majored in the Russian language with a minor in United States Government, and spent a significant amount of time in Russia.  Ms. Gallagher worked as a paralegal for a number of years before graduating magna cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law.  While at the law school, she participated in the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal as Articles Editor, was the co-chair for the Environmental Law Society, and clerked for Judge Lipez of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Ms. Gallagher is a member of the Maine Bar, the Massachusetts bar, the United States Federal District Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Appeals, and is awaiting admission to the Massachusetts Bar.  She enjoys backpacking, hiking, biking, and splitting firewood.
